Abstract

Nowadays, it is very much driven to improve students' literacy and numeracy in order to reduce smartphone addiction that occurs in children, teenagers or adults and the selection and use of English language applications to improve speaking skills is one alternative for these numeracy activities. The PKM team used lecture and demonstration methods which were held in Muaratais II Village. At the time of registering, at first the participants had difficulty adapting to the application, but the PKM team repeatedly demonstrated and gave directions to the participants. The socialization which was carried out in Muaratais II Village in the end the participants were able to use the application, the use of the application by using a smart phone to increase and facilitate English language skills in the village was felt to be quite effective and got satisfactory results.
