LITERASI KITAB SUCI YANG SEDERHANA DAN PRAKTIS DI SMA NEGERI 1 SIPORA, KABUPATEN MENTAWAI

Abstract
Reading the Bible is one of the measurable efforts to know God from written documentation that can be accounted for its truth. However, this Bible reading activity is not widely carried out by church residents, including categorical teenagers, who are more often with social media through computers/laptops or cellphones. The students of Sioban State High School experienced this very worrying situation. Therefore, it is felt necessary to provide proper and correct literacy according to the categorial of adolescents (for high school students) in reading and understanding the Bible. The literacy was held for three consecutive days by establishing a collaboration between the Pancar Pijar Alkitab foundation (Scripture Union Indonesia). As a result, students followed the activity with enthusiasm, understanding how important the Bible is for the growth of faith freshly, strongly, and swiftly every day. The steps of digging into the Bible are also known to be practical, and simple but very significant in discovering the meaning of GOD's Word for today's life, especially for adolescents. Changes in understanding and knowledge of simple steps in the BGA method change the students of Sioban State High School, Mentawai, West Sumatra province with a commitment to set aside time every day to read the Bible.
