Abstract

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to analyze the role of the beef chicken business towards the increase in income of the Tobot business employees in Lumban Dolok Village, Siabu District, Mandailing Natal Regency. The variables that are considered to affect the increase in the family income of the Tobot business employees in Lumban Dolok Village, Siabu District (Y) and become the object of research are Chicken Seeds (X1), Medicines (X2), Land Area (X3), and Employees (X4). This study uses 30 Tobot business employees as a sample and uses the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) analysis method in estimating the results of the research. The estimation results show that the coefficient of determination (R²) is equal to 86.30%, this means that the independent variables are X1 (Chicken Seeds), X2 (Drugs), X3 (Land Area), X4 (Employees). The influence on the dependent variable (Y) is 70.20% while the remaining 13.70% is explained by other variables (µ = error term) which are not included in the estimation model. The independent variables X1 (Chicken Seeds), X2 (Drugs), X3 (Land Area), X4 (Employees) have an influence on the dependent variable Y (Income of Tobot Business Employees in Lumban Dolok Village, Siabu District) together, as evidenced by F -count is greater than F-table (F-stat = 39.528> F-table = 4.64) at the 99% confidence level. Based on the results of the partial test (t test), it is known that the variable X1 (Chicken Seeds) has a positive and significant effect, the variable X2 (Drugs) has a positive and significant effect, the variable X3 (land area) has a positive and significant effect, the variable X4 (Employees) has a positive and significant effect. positive and significant towards variable Y (Income of Tobot Business Employees in Lumban Dolok Village, Siabu District).
