Abstract

Abstrak

This research was conducted using experimental research methods, namely the research method used to find out the effect of certain treatments. The population of this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan. 330 people or 9 classes.While the sample is class X-I, amounting to 35 people. Furthermore, to obtain the data needed in data analysis, the authors compile a test with five choices, namely: a, b, c, d and e with a number of 20 items of each variable given 2 times, namely the pre-test and post-post. Then the data obtained is analyzed by inferential statistical analysis which aims to test the proposed hypothesis. Based on the results of the calculation of the physics learning outcomes of the subject matter of measurement before being given the treatment with the demonstration method, the average value was 67.7. If consulted on the assessment criteria table, the average value is in the "Enough" category. While the results of the calculation of the physics learning outcomes of the subject matter of measurement after being given the treatment with the demonstration method obtained an average value of 79.8. If consulted on the assessment criteria table, the average value is in the "Good" category. Based on the comparison of these values, the proposed hypothesis can be accepted or approved. This means "There is a significant influence from the use of demonstration methods on the results of physics learning of the subject matter of measurement in class X of SMA Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan". In other words, the better the use of demonstration methods in the learning process, the higher the learning outcomes of physics in the subject matter of measurement.
