Abstract

Religious literacy plays a vital role in shaping children's character based on Islamic values. To support this goal, this community service activity focused on enhancing religious literacy among children at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Babussalam in Siamporik Dolok Village. This mentoring program involved collaboration between a team of lecturers, madrasah teachers, and students participating in the Field Study Program (KKL). The methods applied included lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on practice to ensure a deep and applicable understanding. Additionally, teaching materials were contextually designed to suit the children's needs. The results showed a significant improvement in the children’s understanding of basic Islamic concepts, their ability to read and write the Qur’an, and their awareness of the importance of practicing Islamic values in daily life. This activity also strengthened the synergy between the madrasah, students, and the community in creating an inclusive religious education ecosystem.
