Persepsi Petani Terhadap Kinerja Penyuluh Pertanian Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

ABSTRACT Agricultural extension is carried out by an agricultural instructor using extension methods, namely face-to-face, visiting and coercion techniques. The aim of this research is to find out the general picture of agricultural extension and farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension workers in Amplas Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. The research method used is survey research using descriptive research. Purposive determination of the research location in Amplas Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. The data used is primary data and secondary data. The sampling method was carried out using a simple random sampling technique. The respondents were 64 people, the population was 635 people. The data analysis used in this research is a descriptive analysis method using a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. The general results of the research include: an overview of agricultural extension in Amplas Village and farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural instructors in Amplas Village which are in the good category with an average score of 1265 with an index of 79.o6% in the good category. Where the highest score is in the aspect of productivity and business scale, namely with a total score of 1,390 with an index of 86.8% in the very good category and the lowest score is in the aspect of market access, technology, facilities and infrastructure and financing with a total score of 1,149 with an index of 71.8% good category.
