Persepsi Peternak Lokal (local farmer) di Desa Simapilapil dan Desa Sitaratoit Terhadap Minat Berwirausaha Ternak

Abstract

The study was aimed to investigate the local farmer perception in Simapilapil village and Sitaratoit village on livestock entrepreneurial interest.  The selected respondents are general population (without any observation before with their work status) which allocated as much of 40 participants in the area. Productive populations are aged from 25 to 45 years old and devoted for local farmer who had  certain ruminant species. Village is determined regarding to its potential as the community service programme related to feed technologies based on snake fruit by product. The method of the research was survey and training assestment based on likert questionnaire. The data were collected from April to May 2018 which is sourced from Satahisaoloan farmers and Sitaratoit local farmers. In addition, datas were analyzed using descriptive analysis and correlation analysis between perception of local farmers with the population statistical on livestock entrepreneurship.  The results showed that perception of local farmer in both areas were similar. Then, component of self-readiness and entrepreneurial characteristics of local farmer is categorized as the very good (80.25-88.25%)  in case of their readiness on livestock agribusiness. Furthermore, the perception level of animals entrepreneurship in both villages was fine (76.57-77.14%) which is meaning with best readiness for livestock projects. In conclusion, regarding the results from the study, there was positive correlation from  internal factors (self-assesments of  local farmers) on their readiness for livestock entrepreneurship.
