Abstract

This study aims, among others: first, to find out the direct instruction learning model using powerpoint media on elasticity material in class XI TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Tantom Angkola, second, to find out student responses to the direct instruction learning model using powerpoint media on elasticity material in class XI TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Tantom Angkola. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Tantom Angkola with a population of all students of class XI TKJ SMK 1 Tantom Angkola as much as 1 class and at the same time with a sample of 33 people. Researchers used data collection tools, namely physics learning outcomes tests and questionnaires to determine student responses. The results showed that, first, there was an effect of applying the direct instruction learning model using powerpoint media to improve physics learning outcomes in the elasticity material in class XI TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Tantom Angkola, secondly, student responses to the direct instruction learning model using powerpoint media on the elasticity material made students more motivated and enthusiastic in learning so that student learning outcomes increase.
