Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

As a teacher it is a must to improve all the teaching media. It is hope the students enjoy their process of learning. Learn about English is also learn about tenses and grammar. Usually the tense uses in the written story is simple present tense. The method of the research is about Classroom Action Research. It is done at VII-2 grade of SMP Negri 3 Panyabungan North Sumatera consisted of 25 students. The focus of the research is the method of learning English which is limited to the writing of the students adapt story in simple present tense implementation. The short stories of simple present tense is used by the researcher/ teacher. The aims of this research is to improve the students’ writing ability through story in simple present tense implementation. The conclusions of this CAR research is success at cycle II. There is an improvement from the result of preliminary test score 52,2. It is done three meetings for cycle I with the result test 64. For the cycle II result test was 77,2, then the test of this research was stop.  The ability of the students in writing short story through adapt simple present succeed and improved.
