STRATEGI DISKUSI KELOMPOK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN GURU DALAM MENYUSUN RENCANA PELAKSANAAN PEMBELAJARAN

Abstract

This research started from the problems experienced by the teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Merauke in compiling a learning plan, the teacher did not have a good ability in preparing a lesson plan, so the components, systematics, and techniques for compiling a lesson plan made by the teacher had not been developed. according to established standards. Therefore, this research intends to improve teachers' ability to prepare learning plans through group discussion activities. This research is action research using a qualitative approach. The research data is in the form of information about the process and action data obtained from observations, assessment results, discussions, and documentation. Data sources are the process and results of the implementation of group discussion activities at SMP Negeri 1 Merauke. Data analysis was carried out using a qualitative data analysis model. Based on the results of the research, the group discussion activities carried out were able to improve the teacher's ability to develop a complete and systematic Learning Plan. This result can be seen from the assessment of the teacher's ability which has increased, namely in the first cycle the percentage of the average value obtained by the teacher is 66.5%, meaning that the teacher's competence in this cycle is still sufficient category, while in the second cycle, the percentage of the average value the average obtained by the teacher has increased to 84.5%, meaning that the teacher's ability in preparing the Learning Plan is already in the excellent category. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of group discussions at SMP Negeri 1 Merauke has succeeded in increasing the ability of teachers to prepare Learning Plans.
