EFEKTIFITAS MEDIA FILM BATU MENANGIS TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN CERITA FIKSI
Abstract
The background to the problem in this research is that students' understanding of fictional stories is still low, the media used by teachers does not vary. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the crying stone film media. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK). The subjects in this research were 31 class IV students. The place where this research was carried out was at SDN 1501 Hurung Jilok. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the medium of the crying stone film is very effective in increasing the understanding of fictional stories for class IV students at SD Negeri 1501 Hurung Jilok, as evidenced by the increase in understanding of fictional stories in each cycle. In the pre-cycle, it was found that only 9 students had the "Good" category of understanding fiction stories. Meanwhile, in cycle I, it was found that there were 13 students who had the "Good" category of understanding fiction stories. In cycle II, it was found that there were 28 students who had the "Good" category of understanding fiction stories. . Based on the results of the action, students' understanding of fiction stories in cycle II with the application of the Batu Crying film media has increased, because students have been able to explain again, conclude, give examples and make estimates from the Crying Batu film. So it can be concluded that the effectiveness of the film Batu Crying media can increase the understanding of fictional stories for class IV students at SD Negeri 1501 Hurung Jilok.
