THE INFLUENCE OF DIGITAL FOLKTALES ON THE STUDENTS’ ENGLISH SPEAKING OF MTS S DARUL MURSYID
Abstract
This researchers analyzed whether digital folktales enhance MTS Darul Mursyid at the seventh-graders' vocabulary. The research another practice test research was quantitative. One-stage cluster sampling selects 20 students from 320. Descriptive statistics was used to determine the both pre- and post-test mean and standard deviation. The students' vocabulary mastery before and after treatment was analyzed with SPSS Version 20's paired sample t-test. The pre-test mean score is 1.172 < 1.438, showing that students' vocabulary mastery changes after treatment. Hypothesis testing showed that t count = 7.528 surpasses t table = 2.093 (p = 0.05, df = 19). Ho: digital folktales do not improve vocabulary mastery of seventh-year MTS Darul Mursyid students is rejected, whereas H1: digital folktales increase vocabulary mastery is accepted. Therefore, digital folktales improved MTS Darul Mursyid seventh-graders' vocabulary.
