PENERAPAN MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII PADA MATERI SISTEM EKSKRESI DI SMP NEGERI 1 HUTARAJA TINGGI

Abstract

This research was aimed to improving student learning outcomes in the concept human excretory system with the application of discovery learning model. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Hutaraja Tinggi, Padang Lawas Regency. The method used the classroom action research (CAR) using 2 cycles. The data analysis technique used quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Hutaraja Tinggi, totaling 24 students. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis. The test results showed the improvement of the learning outcomes is 74.72%. This is also supported by the results of observations of students and teachers who show an increase in the good category. The results of this study concluded that using the discovery learning model can improve student learning outcomes on the material of the human excretory system.
