ANALISIS SEKTOR BASIS EKONOMI DALAM MENENTUKAN PEREKONOMIAN DI KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN

Abstract

               One of the factors that affect the economic growth of a region is how the region's ability to develop the economic sector in the region. Base sector optimization can be done by determining the leading sector in the area. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the base sector in determining the economy in the city of Padangsidimpuan. The benefit of this research is that this research is expected to provide information to local governments, especially related agencies in making economic policies in Padangsidimpuan City and this research is expected to be used as material in adding insight into the community's economy, especially in Padangsidimpuan City in the context of further development programs and especially those related to this writing. The type of data used in this study is secondary data, where the source of the data used in the study is secondary data from the Padangsidimpuan BPS report. The method used in this research is Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, where LQ is used to determine how much specialization the base sector is. The data used is Padangsidimuan City GRDP data for the 2015-2019 period.

The results of this study indicate that there are three sectors that become the base sector in Padangsidimpuan City with an average value of LQ> 1, namely the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors; Procurement of electricity and gas; Government administration, land and social security.
