Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of plant spacing and fertilization on the growth and production of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill). This research has been conducted in the Village Land Sipolu-Polu District of Panyabungan Mandailing Natal The Beginning In May Up to September 2016. The method used was a randomized block design (RAK) Factorial with 2 (two) treatment and 36 (Thirty Six) experimental plot. Parameter observations made that plant height (cm), number of pods pithy (of fruit), the number of empty pods (fruits), and the wet weight of peas (kg). Based on the results of the study indicate that treatment spacing of no significant effect on the growth and yield of soybean. The best treatment is contained in the treatment with a spacing of 20 × 20 cm.Fertilization treatment (ZA fertilizer and Urea at a dose of 30 g / plot) do not provide any real effect on observations of plant height (cm) pods wet weight (kg), number of pods pithy (of fruit) and the number of empty pods (fruits). The best treatment there in treatment by administering ZA 30 grams / plot. Interaction treatment plant spacing and fertilization no significant effect on the growth and yield of soybean. The best treatment is contained in the treatment with a spacing of 20 × 20 cm and fertilizer application ZA 30 grams / plot.
