Abstract

This study was aims to look at the effect of compost and liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and production of cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L.). The study was carried out in Baruas Village, which has a altitude of ± 475 masl in July to September 2017. The method use was Design Factorial randomized group (RBD) using two factors, namely Factor 1: Compost dose, Factor II: Provision of liquid organic fertilizer parameters observed, plant length, number of fruits, and fruit weight. Based on the results of variance of the treatment of compost fertilizer on cucumber plants very significant influence on the observation of plant length at the age of 5 weeks after planting, the conclusion of this study is that the treatment of compost was significantly different in observing plant length (cm), fruit weight / sample (gr) and not significantly different from observing the number of fruits / samples ( fruit), number of fruit / plot (fruit) and weight of fruit / plot (kg). The best treatment is K3 (8 kg / bed).
