HUBUNGAN PENGAWASAN ORANG TUA DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPS SISWA DI SEKOLAH SD NEGERI 024 SIMANINGGIR KECAMATAN BATANG ONANG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2018-2019

Abstract

This aims of this research is to know how far the role of parents in supervising their children to improve their learning achievement at SD Negeri 024 Simaninggir Kecamatan Siabu. The level of supervision of parents is one of the factors that determine the high and low achievement of children's learning. Because basically education takes place in three places, namely: at school, at home, and in the community. At home the role of parents is responsible. Because of that, to educate their children at home, parents need to know how much knowledge and knowledge. The knowledge and knowledge to educate was obtained from previous schools. Parents with one another differ in the level of supervision, some are low and some are high, which is called the level of supervision. The population of this study was all the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 024 Simaninggir, they are 30 students, and the number of the sample is 30 students. This study uses a descriptive method approach in the form of correlation. Then the instrument of this research is a questionnaire and document. Furthermore, the research data is analyzed using the correlation "r" Product Moment by Pearson. Based on the results of research conducted on the level of parental supervision which is illustrated to the ability to provide guidance to children for learning at home the lowest value was obtained by 1.53 and the highest score of 3.40 with 15 questions. While the value of a minimum of 1 and a maximum score of 4. The calculation gets an average score of 2.57 then falls in the good category. From the data also obtained student learning achievement gets an average of 6.3 which can be seen from the position value obtained by students 20% obtaining a value of 5. 41.7% value 6, 25% value 7 and 13.3% value 8, while the value 9 does not exist, it can be categorized as sufficient. In accordance with the results of the consultation between the correlation value r of 0.541 large from the value of the correlation table r = 0.374 or (rh = 0.541> rt = 0.374), then the hypothesis can be accepted means that there is a relationship between the level of supervision of parents with learning achievement.
