Abstract

This study aimed to analyze students' science process skills on the concept of excretory system material with the process approach. This research method used descriptive quantitative method. The population in this study were students of SMAN 1 Angkola Barat. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets, Learner Worksheets (LKPD), KPS test instruments and interview sheets. The results showed that the science process skills of high school students on the material of the excretory system were classified in the very good category. The aspects of science process skills that are mastered are aspects of observing, interpreting, classifying, predicting, asking questions, and conducting experiments. While the aspects that obtained the good category were in the aspects of hypothesizing, communicating, and applying concepts. The achievement results obtained from the assessment of the LKPD for the practicum of the excretory system obtained the following results, namely the very good category was achieved by five aspects including aspects of observing, interpreting, conducting experiments, communicating, and applying concepts.
